About The Position

The Director - HRBP Professional Staff supports physician and provider people strategies to positively impact business goals across the organization. This role plays a pivotal part in fostering a positive, ethical, and collaborative workplace culture through proactive employee relations strategies. Operating within a dynamic healthcare environment, this role serves to mitigate organizational risk, uphold compliance standards, and enhance workforce engagement and productivity. They are responsible for identifying and managing initiatives that ensure Professional Staff remain fully compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies, ensuring workplace safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business or Health Care Administration or related field.
  • 8 Years of HR experience or related experience within healthcare operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge across HR functions including people management, employee relations, employment law, succession planning and talent management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish strong connections with leaders and professional staff.
  • Strong leadership ability to influence, coach and teach.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
  • Emotional intelligence to effectively manage challenging communications.
  • Proficiency utilizing Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Human Resources, Business or Health Care Administration or related field.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

Responsibilities

  • Manages HR Consulting process with a focus on professional staff relations and risk mitigation for the organization through consistent processes, timely resolution and effective documentation.
  • Facilitates regular communication with stakeholders on high-risk cases and trending issues and consults with legal as appropriate.
  • Works cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and Communications teams for handbook review and approvals and provides training and guidance on policy changes.
  • Collaborates and partners with Centers of Excellence (COEs) on strategy and organization needs to support recognition, training, engagement and retention.
  • Supports leadership and professional development through internal coursework, performance management, succession planning and talent review.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in HR Generalist abilities and escalate to specialist/experts when appropriate.
  • Manages and resolves escalated employee leave cases in accordance with company policy and applicable laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
  • Complies with the employer's Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including the immediate reporting of any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct; patient/employee safety, patient privacy, and/or other compliance-related concerns.
