About The Position

The Director of Hospitalists and Intensivist Program is responsible for leading and directing the operations of the hospitalist and intensivist programs across Franciscan Health Central Indiana Region. In this role you will oversee the day-to-day operations of these hospital-based specialty practices and provide management, guidance, and direction to the hospitalist and intensivist programs and Hospital administration. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • 5 years Healthcare Administration (Business) - Preferred
  • 5 years Clinical care experience (nursing, therapy, etc.) - Preferred
  • TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 20%

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree - Preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success of improving patient care and length of stay efficiency via throughput initiatives. - Highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies of the hospitalist program; coordinate and evaluate all services provided, including care plan development, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the Hospitalist and Intensivist program; provide administrative support to the Medical Directors and hospitalist physicians.
  • Collaborate with patients and their families, (and or primary caregiver), as well as members of a multidisciplinary team, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and enhancement of the patient experience.
  • Implements and manages policies and a budget, ensuring cost control and expenses are in alignment with the budget.
  • Provides administrative leadership, coordination, and strategic planning for assigned department(s).
  • Create and sustain a culture in the practice that reflects the Franciscan Mission and Values; creates an atmosphere that is conducive to and fosters motivation of coworkers.
