About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join Samsara’s Operations organization as the Director of Hardware Product Operations. In this role, you will lead the team that lives at the intersection of hardware R&D, supply chain, and external joint development manufacturers (JDMs). You and your team will ensure the successful launch of Samsara’s newest technology owning cost, resilience, and supply chain enablement and acting as the key Operations representative in collaboration with Hardware & Operations NPI teams. This is a remote position open to candidates in North America. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in hardware sourcing, procurement, supply chain or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing new product launches within an operations organization.
  • Established people/team management skills with emerging organizational leadership skills.
  • Experience building long-term relationships with key customers (internal and external) and guiding others to design and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to plan strategy and roadmap for the next 1-2 years with relevant input and think outside of one's own team to influence, create, and drive strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team with responsibility for successful hardware launches within the Ops organization.
  • This team has direct ownership of cost (non-recurring and product), resilience, and supply chain enablement for new hardware launches.
  • Partner with Hardware & Operations team members including Program Managers, Engineering, Product Design, and Ops Engineering to maintain schedule and ensure successful ramp to mass production.
  • Be the key relationship owner with external JDMs cutting across executive engagement and a recurring business management system (e.g., QBRs).
