About The Position

The Director, Global Security is responsible for leading the company’s global security strategy and operations to protect employees, facilities, assets, and business continuity across all regions. Responsible for enterprise security risk management, physical security, crisis management, travel security, executive protection, investigations, and vendor oversight. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global EHS and is part of the Global EHS Team located and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help build and lead world class security programs that: Identify, assess, and prioritize global security risks as part of enterprise risk & threat management including security plans in support of employment actions and facility decisions. Establish security policies, standards, and operating models across all regions and help define and execute a global security strategy aligned to business priorities. Standardize site security risk assessments and mitigation plans, ensure effective facility asset protection and oversee physical security systems including access control, surveillance, guard force programs. Support crisis management, incident response, business continuity, and executive incident escalation in response to major events such as workplace violence, natural disasters, and geopolitical disruptions. Define and provide executive protection strategies and travel security program elements aligned with Danaher protocols including: travel risk assessments, high-risk region protocols and real-time traveler tracking and support. Execute within a cross-functional environment in close partnership with EHS, Legal, HR, IT and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Business, Emergency Management, or related field
  • 20+ years of relevant functional experience in security, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or corporate risk/security
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise-level security programs.
  • Ability to travel: 40%- 60%, including internationally
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or advanced professional certifications (CPP, PSP, PCI)
  • Experience in a multinational corporate environment and with executive protection and travel risk programs
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, laboratories, field operations, and critical infrastructure
