About The Position

The Director of Global Public Relations is responsible for the development and implementation of public relations strategies and programs surrounding key product pillars including denim, underwear and sportswear within mainline as well as Collection. This strategic role will help lead PR efforts that will drive brand awareness, image, and business growth. You will help shape the public’s perception of our company by driving our global PR strategy with a focus on storytelling in earned and paid media across fashion, lifestyle, design and culture. The role will manage the integration of regional PR plans across Europe, Latin America/Mexico & Asia, in addition to direct oversight on implementation and execution within North America. We are seeking a self-starter who is motivated to drive change and create impact.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in PR and brand Communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global PR and Communications strategies.
  • Strong network of media contacts and relationships with press, editorial stylists, substackers, and other notable industry members.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Experience in working directly with a Creative Director on profiles/features, fashion shows, events and more.
  • Experience managing budgets and analyzing campaign performance
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work collaboratively cross-functionally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to garner results and create impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global PR strategies around mainline and Collection with the VP of Global Public Relations to maximize press coverage and brand exposure, including brand stories, profiles, fashion well editorials and coverage surrounding brand campaigns, VIP dressing moments, collaborations and other news.
  • Lead on maximizing editorial placements in cover, fashion well and market pages and in key online media.
  • Create new workflows and processes cross-functionally to create greater efficiencies and impact.
  • Provide strategic oversight of PR development in North America, Asia, and Europe and Latin America/Mexico and amongst licensees, serving as a key point of contact for communications strategies in all global markets for all product categories.
  • Lead the creation and execution of PR initiatives that align with the company’s values and goals.
  • Oversee the reporting, tracking, monitoring, and analysis of media coverage on an ongoing basis, driving these initiatives in relevant markets as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day PR budgets with VP of Global Public Relations and Finance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of PR strategies against overall business objectives
  • Manage relationships with press, editorial stylists, substackers, and industry notables to ensure strong brand representation.
  • Oversee the Global PR team in facilitating global press, regional and licensee requests for press materials, serving as a key point of contact for communications strategies for all product categories.
  • Handle FOH for all global brand image events including fashion shows, in-store events, cocktail parties and dinners. as well as seasonal press days including applicable guest list creation, external PR agency management, photography and pre and post event releases and coverage
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for enhancing PR initiatives.
