About The Position

FTI Consulting is seeking a Director, Human Capital for their Global Human Capital team within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. This team focuses on helping clients improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their people, bringing together expertise in compensation & benefits, organizational design, workforce management and transformation, and labor negotiations. The role involves advising clients on workforce-related matters across restructuring, M&A, and business transformation, applying strategic thinking and deep workforce knowledge to align people strategy with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline involving quantitative analysis.
  • 5+ years in large-workforce industry, Consulting, or similar/related environment.
  • This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices.

Nice To Haves

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and conceptual skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workforce-related engagements, often for organizations with large and complex ‘front-line’ populations, that help clients align their people strategy with business objectives.
  • Advise clients on workforce productivity and utilization strategies that drive cost efficiency while maintaining service quality and operational reliability.
  • Conduct labor diagnostics including current-state size/shape/cost, supply/demand modelling, and scenario planning to identify current and future workforce risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze workforce utilization data to identify inefficiencies, capacity constraints, and opportunities to redeploy or upskill talent more effectively.
  • Translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making, and present these recommendations to senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Identify patterns in absenteeism, attrition, and workload distribution to surface root causes to support in the identification of efficiency opportunities.
  • Develop high-level business cases for transformation opportunities, quantifying the productivity and financial impact of proposed changes.
  • Support clients in adopting resource planning capabilities that support an analytics-based approach to aligning resource delivery to demand requirements.
  • Manage project workstreams end-to-end, ensuring delivery is on time, and to a high quality standard.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with mid-to-senior client stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Global Human Capital practice by supporting proposals, pitches, and thought leadership development.
