We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director to join our Fund Accounting team. This role location in Boston, MA ( 4 days in office expectation per week).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management preferred.
  • Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a Fund Accounting area consisting of multiple teams responsible for accounting services including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
  • Manage financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring teams operate effectively to meet goals and objectives.
  • Execute business plans, contribute to functional strategy development, and set guidelines for determining net asset value (NAV) across various sectors.
  • Oversee client relationship management, ensuring service levels meet client needs, resolving issues, and participating in sales efforts including RFP and RFI preparation.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on financial statement disclosures, resolve complex escalated issues, and lead analysis of GAAP and IFRS rules to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop policies and set priorities for drafting financial reports, communicate complex accounting details to clients, and manage relationships with senior auditors and clients.
  • Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Manage multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams primarily through subordinate managers and contribute to achieving team objectives.
