About The Position

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join their Workforce Technology and Services (WTS) team. This role involves liaising with business stakeholders throughout all development phases for critical WTS platforms and key projects. The Technology division at Morgan Stanley focuses on innovation to build connections and capabilities for the firm, serving clients and colleagues globally. As a Senior Software Engineer, the individual will act as a liaison between business clients, business analysis, development teams, and technology management. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements with stakeholders, participating in agile development through the SDLC, and assisting Project Managers and Business Analysts in project delivery. The ideal candidate is self-driven, dedicated, works well in a global team, and thinks strategically.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field required
• 3+ years of experience using angular
• Strong analytical skills and programing skills
• Relevant experience with business requirements, structured analysis, process design, UML process and use case definition
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, TDD, BDD and continuous integration
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of Technology and Business groups
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent understating of OOO, design patterns, Unit testing, Multi-threading, microservices
• HTML5 technologies, Typescript, Javascript, Json, CSS, Angular or React
• GIT, Runway, Jenkins
• Java 17 and higher, Web API , DB: PostGress or Sybase, DB2, MongoDB

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years of experience preferable as Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Work as a liaison between the business and development team in all phases of development from solution definition to deployment
• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional, technical and system specifications
• Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of multiple distributed applications
• Contributing to 24x7 availability and scalability of the solutions
• Analyzing existing designs and interfaces and creating design extensions or enhancements
• Designing and enhancing UIs with a focus on the user experience
• Testing software designs and solutions (including debugging and troubleshooting)
• Promote the firm's values and set an example for team members upholding those values
