About The Position

ATI Forged Products is seeking a senior finance leader who excels at shaping business strategy, driving financial excellence, and influencing outcomes across a global, multisite industrial organization. The Finance Director of FP&A will play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of the Business Unit (BU), serving as a key advisor to senior executives and leading the FP&A function with vision, precision, and strategic impact. The Finance Director of FP&A will oversee all FP&A activities for the North America Forged Products Business Unit, covering operations in Cudahy, Appleton, and Coon Valley, WI; Irvine, CA; and Chihuahua, Mexico. Based in Cudahy, WI, this role reports directly to the VP Finance for ATI Forged Products and leads a growing team, collaborating daily with site controllers, FP&A counterparts, and executive leadership across ATI. This is an on-site role, 5 days a week. No hybrid/remote option. ATI Forged Products operates at the forefront of advanced materials and high‑precision manufacturing, supporting customers whose missions require reliability at the extremes. We are investing heavily in next-generation technologies, data-driven operations, and digital enablement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting within manufacturing or industrial services, including 3–5 years of leadership responsibility.
  • Strong US GAAP experience.
  • Deep financial and operational acumen including standard costing, cost drivers, productivity, and manufacturing economics.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting methodologies, and use of dashboarding/BI tools.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex financial topics and communicate them clearly to senior leadership.
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive structured problem-solving.
  • Influential leader capable of aligning diverse stakeholders and driving performance across organizational boundaries.
  • Proactive, disciplined, and highly organized with a strong bias for action.
  • Experienced change leader with a track record supporting or leading transformational initiatives such as ERP modernization, process redesign, or new financial systems.
  • Communicates with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading FP&A across a multisite or global manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary FP&A leader and strategic advisor to the BU VP Finance, BU President, and executive operations leadership.
  • Drive strategic decision-making through forward-looking financial insights, scenario modeling, and risk/opportunity analysis.
  • Lead financial support for strategic initiatives including productivity programs, footprint optimization, capital deployment, commercial strategies, and enterprise-wide transformation efforts.
  • Influence BU strategy, long-range planning, and resource allocation through data-driven recommendations.
  • Direct the full FP&A cycle for the BU, including annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
  • Oversee driver-based forecasting models that improve accuracy and support complex scenario planning.
  • Deliver executive-level performance analyses with clear insights on variance drivers, operational trends, KPIs, and margin performance.
  • Guide financial evaluation of capital investments, major customer programs, and strategic initiatives, including ROI, sensitivity modeling, and alignment to long-term BU strategy.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, analytical depth, and reporting efficiency across the BU.
  • Champion advanced analytics, digital tools, dashboards, and data standardization across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with Corporate FP&A and IT on systems modernization, ensuring data integrity and process consistency in planning systems and reporting platforms.
  • Direct and develop an expanded FP&A team supporting multisite operations, including talent planning, succession development, and capability building.
  • Establish best-in-class analytical and communication standards, raising the impact and strategic value of the FP&A function.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
