About The Position

Roku is looking for a skilled Director of FP&A to support the Roku TV business. This role will serve as a trusted partner to the Devices team, providing end-to-end FP&A leadership to support the Roku TV business and its leaders. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader who possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, heavy experience in leading a retail finance team, strong modeling expertise, who is comfortable with ambiguity, and demonstrates a relentless bias towards action. The individual will excel at developing strong business partnerships and be able to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. This role will lead a team in San Jose.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar analytical discipline; MBA from top-tier business school preferred
  • 12+ years of FP&A experience at high-growth tech company (preferably in the consumer electronics industry)
  • Exceptional communicator with ability to present concepts, recommendations and analyses to senior management in a clear, concise and actionable manner
  • Equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and work at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team. No job is too small
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a passion for metrics and data; ability to apply in a summarized view in order to influence and drive effective decision making
  • Strong problem structuring skills with a proficiency in hypothesis-based problem solving
  • Unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning excite you, and you know how to find direction and craft a plan of action even when none is given
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

Responsibilities

  • Business partner with the Roku TV Business Development team to accurately forecast the P&L on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop and maintain annual forecasts and budget and long-range plan financial models and scenario analysis
  • Develop a view and participate in our strategy and operational execution for new products, providing actionable recommendations and analysis to senior management
  • Own all month end, quarter end and earnings support across the relevant business lines
  • Develop KPIs, metrics and dashboards to guide insight into both financial and operational performance, with a focus on improving forecast accuracy and predictability
  • Analyze and monitor forecast inputs against targets; proactively identify both risks and opportunities
  • Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for a variety of special projects that may include M&A, new business initiatives, external market analysis and other ad-hoc projects
  • Improve workflows to scale with the growth in functions and across the teams, including revisiting existing processes and/or the status quo
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team. Establish priorities, set objectives, and provide guidance and feedback
