About The Position

The Foodservice Director is responsible for leading the performance, execution, compliance, training, and growth of foodservice across Minuteman Food Marts including branded and unbranded food programs. This is a field-driven leadership role. The Foodservice Director is accountable for making sure foodservice programs are properly executed at store level, that teams are trained and held to standards, that sales and margin targets are achieved, and that underperforming locations have clear corrective action plans. This role is not simply a support position. The Foodservice Director owns foodservice execution and results in partnership with Operations, Category Management, Marketing, Safety, HR, and store leadership. This is not a 9-to-5 role. The Foodservice Director must be available to support the needs of the business, including store visits, new program launches, franchise requirements, operational issues, inspections, training, and urgent performance needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of multi-unit foodservice, QSR, restaurant, convenience store, retail food, or related operational leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of foodservice operations, store execution, training, food safety, inventory control, sales growth, and margin management.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence across Operations, Store Managers, District Leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience using financial reports, sales reports, inventory reports, waste reports, and KPI dashboards to identify issues and drive action.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear direction, direct feedback, and practical coaching.
  • Ability to work in the field, visit stores regularly, inspect execution, and follow up until issues are resolved.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience with franchise or branded foodservice locations strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with franchisor standards, franchise inspections, franchise training requirements, brand compliance, and corrective action plans preferred.
  • Experience in convenience store foodservice, QSR, commissary, dispensed beverage, or prepared food programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own enterprise foodservice development and execution across all foodservice initiatives, including dispensed beverages.
  • Build and maintain a disciplined foodservice operating model, including production routines, prep standards, holding standards, food safety expectations, inventory processes, and execution checklists.
  • Drive foodservice sales, gross margin, waste control, inventory accuracy, product quality, supply chain execution, customer experience, and operational consistency.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure store teams understand expectations, execute the program properly, and deploy labor appropriately.
  • Hold Region, District, and Store Leaders, foodservice teams, and other business partners accountable for executing foodservice programs according to approved company standards.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and annual foodservice performance against established KPIs.
  • Conduct regular store visits to inspect execution, food quality, cleanliness, safety, merchandising, production levels, signage, equipment condition, franchise compliance, and team readiness.
  • Lead corrective action on underperforming sites with clear owners, deadlines, follow-up expectations, and measurable improvement targets.
  • Lead training, rollout, and ongoing reinforcement for all foodservice programs.
  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for foodservice execution, operational standards, food safety, franchise standards, and field readiness.
  • Partner with Marketing on foodservice promotions, local store marketing, customer communication, merchandising, and program launches.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies, including Health Departments, and ensure all locations comply with applicable federal, state, and local foodservice laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Manage new foodservice program rollouts from planning through execution, including training, equipment readiness, store communication, launch standards, and post-launch follow-up.
  • Lead or support foodservice-related remodels, new builds, equipment upgrades, technology rollouts, and operational improvement projects.
  • Ensure franchise foodservice locations, including Little Caesars Express and any future branded foodservice programs, meet brand standards, training requirements, operational requirements, food safety standards, inspection expectations, and franchisor requirements.
  • Mentor Foodservice Managers and field leaders so they can successfully lead foodservice execution in their locations.
  • Help build a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, cleanliness, safety, and pride in foodservice execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.
