About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Director, Finance Business Partner - Commercial to lead pricing execution and commercial economic integrity across Nscale’s US operations. • Deep understanding of unit economics, cost stacks, and deal pricing mechanics.
  • Experience supporting complex, structured commercial transactions.
  • Strong modelling capability combined with commercial judgment.
  • Ability to operate confidently with senior commercial, strategy, and infrastructure leaders.

  • Experience in AI, cloud, hardware, or GPU-based infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own pricing execution for US commercial transactions.
  • Operate and maintain the US implementation of Nscale’s global pricing engine.

  • Apply and enforce margin guardrails and pricing governance.
  • Lead repricing mechanics (chip transitions, contractual uplifts, product / design evolution).
  • Prevent model duplication and assumption fragmentation across stakeholders.
  • Lead economic feasibility analysis for US transactions, ensuring deals are viable, financeable, and contractually aligned.
  • Partner with Strategy on complex transactions and new monetisation models (e.g. token-based inference pricing), supplying the economic foundation for structuring.
  • Quantify funding and working capital requirements, assessing advance payment structures, and margin risk under different financing scenarios.
  • Support customer negotiations by articulating cost assumptions and economic rationale.
  • Ensure back-to-back alignment across customer, Colo, OEM, and financing arrangements.
  • Quantify SLA exposure and delay-related cost impacts to inform deployment prioritisation and capital allocation.
  • Translate infrastructure capacity inputs into commercial inventory availability.
  • Ensure pricing assumptions reflect GPU allocation realities and infrastructure constraints.
  • Partner with AI Capacity Planning to align deployment timing with revenue expectations.
  • Provide economic drivers supporting integrated business planning and capital efficiency.
  • Provide commercial economic drivers into FP&A forecasting and planning.
  • Align pipeline economics with revenue, margin, and capital planning expectations.
