As the Director, Product Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing our overall growth strategy. You will be responsible for developing product positioning and compelling messaging for target customers, and creating internal and external content centered on customer buying catalysts, pain points, and personas. In this role, you will define our product marketing function, leading the go-to-market strategy and branding for our products. Aligning with product managers, you’ll translate product features into a game plan for our sales and marketing teams. You will champion our innovative products, lead successful launches, and drive strategy to ensure they stand out to potential customers. To succeed, you must have a creative and entrepreneurial mindset combined with the ability to deeply understand our customers, their challenges, and what they care about. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally within the SaaS or tech industry, with a proven track record of driving successful product marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing a marketing team.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute marketing plans that drive business growth.
  • Proficient in market analysis, leveraging data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions.
  • Proven history in uncovering the true drivers and emotional motivations of our customers, not just a recitation of functional benefits
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with a proven talent for crafting compelling messaging and storytelling.
  • Must have a growth mindset that encompasses curiosity, a passion for excellence, and the ability to ask the right questions.
  • Ability to lead a creative process that aligns with business objectives
  • Passion for working with technology products and solving B2B customer needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product management, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Self-starter with exceptional project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a deep understanding of SaaS business models and market dynamics.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Leverage marketing insights to understand our customers better and represent the voice of the user/buyer. You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to go beyond product features to create value-driven stories that compel a buyer to take action on an emotional level
  • Lead content creation in support of customer-facing marketing and sales initiatives, including sales presentations, Relay website, and prospect education
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics and the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive go-to-market plans for new products/features.
  • Craft compelling messaging and positioning that differentiates our product in the market.
  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with product, sales, and other teams to ensure alignment and support product launches and ongoing marketing initiatives.
  • Over time, recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing product marketing team.
