About The Position

Calix is experiencing rapid growth as we launch innovative solutions for broadband service providers. Our mission is to empower BSPs with high-speed broadband and services that enable providers to deliver exceptional subscriber experiences. As the leader of the Field Marketing Team, you will lead and inspire them to drive vision, direction, and outcomes across Calix’s target segments: Tier 1/2 Service Providers, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and Regional Broadband Service Providers (BSPs). You will be responsible for developing and executing segment-specific strategies that accelerate pipeline growth, strengthen market presence, and align field marketing with product marketing, sales and partner marketing teams.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in B2B marketing, preferably in a customer-facing field marketing role.
  • Track record of driving cross-functional projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Experience working with sales and partner organizations in a high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Excellent speaking and story telling skills for internal and external meetings / events.
  • Willingness to travel domestically to industry events and tradeshows (up to 25%).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Field Marketing team to deliver high-impact programs for Tier 1/2, MSP, and Regional BSP segments.
  • Own the vision and direction for field marketing, ensuring alignment with sales, product marketing, partner marketing, demand generation, and content teams.
  • Drive measurable pipeline growth through segment-specific campaigns and account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate and align closely with the partner marketing leader to ensure cohesive go-to-market strategies and messaging.
  • Provide market intelligence and recommendations on messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation for each segment.
  • Champion the Calix brand and boost demand at segment-specific events and through digital marketing.
  • Audit and optimize Calix’s print and digital presence in publications relevant to target segments; propose new opportunities to reach key audiences.
  • Align with the enablement team to educate sales teams on effective messaging and positioning for each segment.
  • Develop content that differentiates Calix solutions and resonates with buyers’ needs and criteria.
  • Establish clear KPIs and reporting for campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution, and ROI by segment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects to completion and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Support outbound marketing activities and represent Calix at industry events and tradeshows (travel up to 25%).
