About The Position

The Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) is undergoing a significant transformation to expand its global parts, service, and aftermarket businesses while enhancing the customer ownership experience throughout the vehicle's lifecycle. The FCSD Strategy & Transformation team is central to this effort, bridging the gap between strategic goals and operational execution. This team defines FCSD's market position, competitive strategies, and the necessary capabilities and processes to achieve measurable results. The role requires a dynamic executive leader capable of shaping the strategic direction, mobilizing the organization, and driving business growth through rigorous analysis and decisive action.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in strategy and transformation with a bachelor's degree, or 10+ years of experience with a master's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles with direct accountability for enterprise-level strategic outcomes.
  • Proven executive presence with a demonstrated track record of influencing and advising C-suite and senior leadership on complex, high-stakes strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead leaders, building, structuring, and developing high-performing strategy teams.
  • Exceptional strategic problem-solving capability, comfortable with ambiguity and adept at generating decisive insights from incomplete information.
  • Track record of driving large-scale organizational change and mobilizing complex, matrixed organizations to execute strategy.
  • Outstanding executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a VP, Director, or Principal-level role within a top-tier management consulting firm or an in-house strategy function at a global company.
  • Direct experience owning product strategy, go-to-market strategy, or business unit P&L at scale, including international markets.
  • Experience leading strategic planning processes at the business unit or enterprise level, including portfolio prioritization, investment allocation, and long-range planning.
  • Prior experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or M&A.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development of the business's long-range strategy, defining market position, competitive approach, and necessary capabilities.
  • Translate strategy into operational reality by designing and leading execution systems to achieve measurable market outcomes.
  • Own the operational cadence, governance structures, and decision frameworks for critical initiatives within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Lead FCSD's response to complex business challenges, including market positioning, portfolio strategy, go-to-market models, expansion, and competitive responses.
  • Build and maintain a robust fact base integrating market data, customer behavior, competitor intelligence, and financial modeling to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of strategy and transformation professionals, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and impact.
  • Serve as a principal advisor to senior leadership, leading strategic dialogues and framing critical trade-offs for high-stakes decision-making.
  • Act as the primary catalyst for transformation, securing organizational commitment across various functions and holding the organization accountable for delivery.
