About The Position

The Director, Facility Standards & 6S Excellence is responsible for leading the PCC Fasteners Division's strategy and execution of workplace excellence, facility standardization, and 6S implementation across all manufacturing locations. This highly visible, hands-on leadership role partners closely with General Managers, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, Facilities Teams, EHS Leaders, and Finance to ensure every site achieves compliance with PCC's 6S and Safety Standards while creating a better physical workplace environment for employees and improved flow/ visual management of product through our factories. The position is responsible for developing and executing a multi-year roadmap for each facility that improves workplace organization, safety, employee experience, facility appearance, and operational efficiency. The Director will lead facility improvement projects from concept through completion, establish standardized vendors and solutions across the division, and ensure projects remain aligned with approved budgets and business objectives. This role serves as the Division's subject matter expert for workplace transformation, facility standards, visual factory initiatives, and 6S excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing, facilities, construction, project management, maintenance, or operational excellence experience.
  • Experience managing multi-site initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated success leading capital and facility improvement projects.
  • Experience managing project budgets, contractor relationships, and capital planning processes.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S/6S, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Experience leading workplace modernization, facility transformation, or site improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with vendor standardization and contractor management programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for each PCC Fasteners facility to achieve and sustain PCC 6S and Safety Standards.
  • Conduct facility assessments to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and investment priorities.
  • Establish division-wide standards for workplace organization, visual management, facility appearance, and employee work environments.
  • Develop implementation plans, scorecards, and performance metrics to measure progress.
  • Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to Division Leadership.
  • Lead the Division's initiative to create safer, cleaner, more organized, and more engaging workplace environments through structured facility improvement projects.
  • Serve as the primary project leader for division-wide facility improvement and workplace enhancement initiatives.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate activities between plant leadership, maintenance, facilities, procurement, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across geographically dispersed facilities.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, remove barriers, and support execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with Division standards.
  • Develop project status reports and executive-level updates.
  • Establish and maintain preferred vendor relationships for facility improvements and workplace enhancement projects.
  • Develop standard specifications and approved solutions that can be replicated across multiple facilities.
  • Coordinate contractor bidding, selection, execution, and performance management.
  • Partner with Procurement to leverage division buying power and standardization opportunities.
  • Identify best practices and scalable solutions that can be deployed throughout the division.
  • Develop business cases and financial justifications for facility improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance and Plant Leadership to establish annual budgets and project forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved capital and expense budgets.
  • Track project performance, savings opportunities, and return on investment.
  • Support preparation and approval of capital expenditure requests and project funding proposals.
  • Lead implementation and sustainment of PCC Fasteners Division 6S Standards.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Implement corrective action plans to address identified gaps.
  • Establish best practice sharing and replication processes across facilities.
  • Drive a culture of workplace ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Kaizen Events at factories to improve Product Flow/ Streamline Processes.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Culture at our various plants.
  • Ensure all facility improvement projects support PCC Safety Standards and EHS objectives.
  • Partner closely with EHS leaders to identify and eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Integrate safety, housekeeping, visual controls, and risk reduction into all workplace initiatives.
  • Promote facility designs and workplace standards that improve employee safety and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with General Managers, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, EHS Leaders, HR, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Influence decision-making and drive execution across multiple facilities without direct authority.
  • Facilitate workshops, project reviews, and continuous improvement events.
  • Serve as a champion for workplace excellence and facility transformation throughout the division.
