About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas, supporting global demand through reliable, capital-efficient infrastructure. Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design leverages proven technology in an innovative configuration to deliver the same operational reliability and efficiency as traditional LNG facilities at significantly lower capital cost. Role Summary Reporting to: VP, Materials Management Location: Lake Charles, LA (site-based) Travel: ~10–20% The Director, Facilities provides single-point ownership for the execution of the site facilities strategy, the safe and compliant operation of the Lake Charles Multi-Use Facility (VGLC), and the end-to-end site materials and asset management programs. This role is accountable not only for buildings, but for the safe ownership, availability, reliability, and lifecycle performance of all site facilities, warehouses, yards, and industrial assets supporting construction, commissioning, and operations. The VGLC site encompasses 295 acres with 440,000 sq. ft. of combined fabrication, warehouse, and office space, including seven fabrication assembly bays, pipe yards, laydown areas, and truck and barge loading infrastructure with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated safety leadership with a strong owner-operator mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience managing industrial facilities, construction support assets, warehousing, inventory, or reliability programs in LNG, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Materials Management, SAP Plant Maintenance, and Coupa.
  • Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and brownfield expansion in operating industrial facilities.
  • Must report to office daily, with occasional nights and weekend work as required.
  • Periodic domestic USA travel may be required, ~10-20% as needed.
  • Work Hours: 7AM – 3PM, Mon – Friday; some casual overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Execution and lifecycle ownership of the site facilities strategy.
  • Safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of facilities, warehouses, yards, and infrastructure.
  • Facility readiness and reliability supporting construction, commissioning, and expansion activities.
  • End-to-end site inventory oversight and materials support.
  • Industrial equipment and asset reliability and Preservation programs.
  • Ownership of departmental OPEX and CAPEX, including financial controls, inventory governance, and SOx compliance.
  • Development and leadership of a high-performing site facilities and asset management organization.
  • Lead day-to-day operations of warehouses, yards, fabrication areas, and buildings, including utilities, HVAC, fire protection, security, and infrastructure.
  • Own and execute the VGLC site facilities strategy, including long-term improvement plans, space utilization, renovations, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure facilities and operations meet or exceed all health, safety, security and environmental regulations (OSHA and applicable standards).
  • Direct preventative maintenance, repairs, upkeep, cleaning, and groundskeeping to ensure facilities remain fit-for-purpose and reliable throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Provide safe, reliable, and controlled operations for construction support facilities.
  • Partner with Project and Construction teams to coordinate access to: Pipe fabrication shops and pipe yards Metalworking and fabrication facilities Laydown yards and staging areas
  • Support construction, commissioning, and brownfield expansion through disciplined facility readiness planning and execution
  • Provide leadership and accountability of central warehouse materials management staff.
  • Accountable for regional Materials Management activities, including: Inventory accuracy, audits, and controls Repairable spares, and Preservation programs
  • Oversee development and execution of maintenance, reliability, preservation programs for: Capital spares Industrial equipment Material handling assets Fabrication and construction support equipment
  • Develop, manage, forecast, and control departmental OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including multi-year spend plans
  • Ensure strong cost control and transparent reporting
  • Maintain SOx compliant controls across inventory, assets, and SAP transactions
  • Utilize SAP Materials Management, SAP Plant Maintenance, and Coupa as daily operational tools to ensure data accuracy and audit readiness
  • Support development of standards, procedures, and work instructions for facility activities and site operations
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, safety-driven team across: Facility Support Materials Management Asset and Reliability Management
  • Reinforce an owner-operator mindset centered on safety, accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement
