Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
5-7 years of experience in building maintenance.
1-3 years of managerial experience
Interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
Intermediate level in functional skills; HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, welding, safe use of power and hand tools.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access.
Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential.
Ability to provide flexible and adaptable work schedules.
Ability to maintain professional image and work environment.
Ability to collaborate with Campus Leaders, internal and external partners.
Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and follow through on work.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 25% or less of the workday.
Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday.
Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

Licensed and/or certified in one or more of the following areas is preferred; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general contractor.

Responsibilities

Lead a team managing campus maintenance, renovations, and facility improvements.
Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (EPA, OSHA, NATEF, ACCSC).
Maintain a clean, safe, and productive environment for students and staff.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee facility-related budgets.
Build and develop a high-performing team through training, performance management, and recognition
