About The Position

The Director, Facilities & Physical Security is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all credit union buildings, properties, and vehicles with a total value of over $50 million and is the main point of contact for all purchasing, including the administrative headquarters campus and 35+ member centers in three metropolitan areas with over 300,000 sq/ft and annual purchasing and budgetary responsibilities over $15 million annually.

Requirements

  • Manages land or lease acquisition, design, and construction of new credit union locations and functions as the Construction Manager for the projects.
  • Oversees the operation of the Facilities department and directs the activities of the Facilities Manager.
  • Manages all of the facilities purchasing activity for the Credit Union.
  • Assists the Security and Emergency Response Manager with activities related to physical security at all credit union locations.
  • Negotiates contracts and reviews costs for outsourced maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, HVAC, and other resources as needed.
  • Negotiates, reviews, and manages complex leases for credit union locations.
  • Manages the Third-Party Vendor contract for archival of records.
  • Develops and monitors the budget for all Credit Union locations as it relates to operations and maintenance.
  • Is a member of the Business Continuity Team as well as the Critical Response Team and keeps the plans updated as they relate to Facilities.
  • Recommends and maintains appropriate policies and procedures related to the Facilities and Physical Security group.

Responsibilities

  • Manages land or lease acquisition, design, and construction of new credit union locations and functions as the Construction Manager for the projects. Ensure assigned business units are operating efficiently and reliably, are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules, have appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk, and are performing at a high level.
  • Oversees the operation of the Facilities department and directs the activities of the Facilities Manager.
  • Manages all of the facilities purchasing activity for the Credit Union.
  • Assists the Security and Emergency Response Manager with activities related to physical security at all credit union locations. Routinely reviews security policies and opening procedures at all member centers.
  • Negotiates contracts and reviews costs for outsourced maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, HVAC, and other resources as needed.
  • Negotiates, reviews, and manages complex leases for credit union locations as well as managing Tenant spaces and the associated lease.
  • Manages the Third-Party Vendor contract for archival of records.
  • Develops and monitors the budget for all Credit Union locations as it relates to operations and maintenance.
