ExtensisHR•Woodbridge Township, NJ
•$160,000 - $200,000

About The Position

ExtensisHR is seeking a Director of Enterprise Portfolio to oversee how the company selects, funds, delivers, and adopts its most important initiatives, while personally leading some of the highest-priority or highest-risk programs. The role reports to the CIO and partners with executives and department leaders to set priorities. It is a hands-on leadership position, with approximately half of the time devoted to direct project and program leadership and the other half to portfolio strategy, governance, and improving delivery maturity across the company. The Director directly leads one to three major initiatives at a time, from scoping through delivery and adoption, owning plans, budgets, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and outcomes. The portfolio leadership component includes operating a unified intake and prioritization process, maintaining an enterprise roadmap aligned with company goals, designing risk-appropriate governance, reporting portfolio health, coaching project leads, managing a small team, and modernizing PMO tools through automation, dashboards, and AI-assisted workflows. The role also partners on technology and AI governance, including intake, vendor evaluation, integration considerations, and risk review. The Director works with Legal, Compliance, Security, and IT to address data privacy and regulatory requirements early. Effective and ethical use of AI tools, awareness of relevant emerging applications, and continued development of AI proficiency are expected. Success includes delivering initiatives with measurable business outcomes, providing leadership with a trusted view of portfolio priorities and tradeoffs, reducing reporting overhead while improving decisions, establishing a clear governance path for technology and AI requests, meeting adoption targets, and improving delivery consistency across project leads. The posted salary range is $160,000–$200,000.
