About The Position

The Director, Enterprise Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (EDA/AI) is a strategic leader responsible for designing and executing JobsOhio’s comprehensive data and AI roadmap. The role connects technical development with executive decision-making and oversees a team delivering Tableau-based enterprise analytics and AI solutions intended to produce measurable organizational impact. It focuses on organizational adoption, program health, and integrating advanced AI into core business processes.

JobsOhio is a private, nonprofit corporation that drives job creation and new capital investment in Ohio through business attraction, retention, and expansion. It supports economic development by investing in communities, helping Ohio businesses expand, and attracting new companies to the state.

The position is based at the Main Office in Columbus, Ohio, is full time, and has a day shift. Travel may be up to 25%.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of total professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence.
• At least 2 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, including leadership or management capacity.
• Significant experience managing Tableau-based platforms and dashboard ecosystems.
• Demonstrated practical understanding of AI principles, including LLMs and Agentic AI, and their application to enterprise-scale analytics and operational efficiency.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and drive cross-departmental tool adoption in a mid-sized organizational environment.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical and AI metrics into strategic business value for executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the integrated data and AI roadmap to align initiatives with business objectives and JobsOhio’s nonprofit mission.
• Lead organization-wide adoption of data-driven insights and AI-augmented workflows across departments.
• Drive high-level analytics and AI projects from conception through delivery, targeting impact and operational efficiency.
• Manage and mentor contracted analytics and AI developers, providing technical direction, architectural guidance, and development lifecycle oversight.
• Oversee the Tableau dashboard ecosystem, including data integrity, visualization quality, and scalable reporting structures.
• Lead AI project delivery by identifying and implementing opportunities in accordance with JobsOhio’s AI Governance Policy.
• Report to leadership on program health, milestones, and the return on investment of data and AI initiatives.
• Manage EDA and AI newsletters and communications to explain the data strategy and technical achievements to stakeholders.
• Translate between technical staff and non-technical leadership to support project success, transparency, and clarity about AI strategy.
