Director Enterprise Architect

Anovorx Group LLC•Memphis, TN

About The Position

The Director Enterprise Architect will own end-to-end architecture for the Aperture platform, Anovo's core data and reporting environment supporting specialty pharmacy operations. This role sets technical direction and standards across the full stack — application, data, infrastructure, and security — and acts as the primary architectural authority for how Aperture is built, deployed, and scaled. This is a hands-on architecture leadership role: the Enterprise Architect will design and govern solutions across a modern cloud-native stack (AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, GitOps via Argo CD), a .NET/React application layer, and a PostgreSQL data tier, while partnering closely with engineering, data analytics, and IT leadership to ensure Aperture scales reliably to meet growing business and compliance demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 10+ years in software/enterprise architecture roles, including experience owning architecture for a production platform end-to-end
  • Proven experience architecting cloud-native applications on AWS at production scale
  • Track record of setting technical direction across full-stack teams (application, data, and infrastructure)
  • Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, pharmacy, or similarly compliance-driven environment) preferred
  • AWS (deep hands-on experience across core services)
  • AWS EKS and Kubernetes cluster architecture and operations
  • Argo CD and GitOps deployment models
  • Bitbucket for source control, branching strategy, and pipelines
  • Core .NET (C#) for backend services
  • React for front-end architecture
  • PostgreSQL — schema design, performance tuning, and data architecture at scale
  • Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) for identity, authentication, and access architecture
  • Strong understanding of microservices, API design, containerization, and distributed systems patterns
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code and observability/monitoring practices in a Kubernetes environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience architecting platforms in specialty pharmacy, healthcare, or life sciences, with familiarity with HIPAA and related compliance requirements
  • Experience standing up or scaling an enterprise architecture function within a mid-size IT organization
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator/CKA, TOGAF)
  • Experience with data platforms supporting reporting and analytics workloads
  • Prior experience presenting architecture strategy to senior IT and business leadership

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall architecture and technical roadmap for the Aperture platform, from application design through infrastructure and deployment
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and coding practices across the .NET/React application stack
  • Design and evolve the data architecture on PostgreSQL, including schema strategy, performance, and data integrity
  • Architect and govern the AWS cloud environment, including EKS/Kubernetes cluster design, networking, scaling, and cost management
  • Own the GitOps deployment model using Argo CD, ensuring reliable, auditable, and repeatable releases
  • Establish branching, code review, and CI/CD standards within Bitbucket to support consistent, high-quality delivery
  • Design and maintain identity and access architecture using Microsoft Entra, ensuring secure authentication and authorization across the platform
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Evaluate new technologies and architectural patterns, making build-vs-buy and platform evolution recommendations
  • Lead architecture reviews, document key decisions (ADRs), and mentor engineers on architectural best practices
  • Ensure the platform meets security, compliance, and reliability requirements appropriate to a specialty pharmacy handling sensitive healthcare data
  • Own capacity planning, performance, and disaster recovery strategy for the platform
  • Partner with our current systems integrator (SI) partner to validate and align architecture direction
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
