About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the overall strategy, governance, optimization, and continuous improvement of Avtron Power Solutions' enterprise business applications supporting manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, operations, finance, and customer service. This leader will partner closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to develop and execute a multi-year digital transformation roadmap focused on modernizing manufacturing operations, improving business processes, increasing operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate possesses strong manufacturing systems expertise, ERP leadership experience, and a passion for business transformation. They will serve as the primary technology leader responsible for enterprise applications including SAP Business One, BEAS Manufacturing, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Engineering applications, and future enterprise platforms introduced throughout the organization. This position plays a critical leadership role within the Global IT organization and reports directly to the Sr. Director of Information Technology.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
10+ years of Enterprise Applications leadership experience.
5+ years leading technical teams.
Strong manufacturing industry experience.
Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities.
Experience leading enterprise software implementations.
Demonstrated success driving business transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of ERP Systems, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Quality Management, Engineering Change Management, Shop Floor Automation, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Cloud Applications, Cybersecurity fundamentals, System Integrations, and SQL and reporting concepts.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the global Enterprise Applications strategy aligned with Avtron's business objectives.
Create and maintain a multi-year roadmap for manufacturing digitalization.
Evaluate emerging technologies that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, automation, and operational visibility.
Lead enterprise application modernization initiatives across global operations.
Ensure enterprise applications support future company growth and acquisitions.
Lead the organization's digital manufacturing initiatives including Smart Manufacturing, Digital Work Instructions, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP Optimization, Production Scheduling, Warehouse Automation, Barcode/RFID Solutions, Shop Floor Data Collection, Industrial IoT integrations, Manufacturing Analytics, Digital Quality Systems, and Paperless Manufacturing initiatives.
Partner with Operations leadership to identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
Provide executive oversight for SAP Business One, BEAS Manufacturing, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Product Data & Engineering Systems, CRM platforms, Business Intelligence platforms, Corporate reporting solutions, Integration platforms, Custom business applications, and Future enterprise platforms.
Ensure applications remain secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
Own the SAP Business One application strategy.
Drive ERP optimization across manufacturing, procurement, inventory, finance, engineering, and customer service.
Identify opportunities to standardize business processes globally.
Lead future ERP enhancements and implementation projects.
Govern ERP master data standards alongside business stakeholders.
Develop trusted relationships with leadership across Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership.
Translate business challenges into technology solutions that create measurable business value.
Lead enterprise application implementation projects from strategy through execution.
Manage project prioritization and investment planning.
Develop business cases and ROI analyses for technology initiatives.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Oversee vendor performance and third-party consulting partners.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Enterprise Applications team.
Establish technical standards and best practices.
Promote collaboration across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Digital Systems teams.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Champion Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives by eliminating manual processes, standardizing workflows, improving data accuracy, increasing manufacturing visibility, supporting Operational Excellence initiatives, and driving process automation.
Improve enterprise reporting, develop KPI dashboards, increase operational visibility, enable executive decision-making, and improve manufacturing analytics in partnership with the Data & Analytics organization.
Manage strategic software vendors and implementation partners.
Negotiate software agreements and support contracts.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions.
Manage software licensing and lifecycle planning.
