About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Engineering - VED Products responsible for overseeing engineering teams and large-scale projects, and influencing company-wide strategies for our Power Electronics Division. You will manage and mentor engineering individual contributors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or a related field with 10+ years experience.
Deep understanding of engineering principles and best practices, with experience in RF, Power Electronics and development lifecycles
Proven hands-on leader with ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a matrix organization, while recognizing and mitigating technical risks.
Strong team management skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring.
Ability to develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in managing complex engineering projects, including resource allocation and budget management.
Experience successfully managing project and departmental overhead budgets.

Responsibilities

Setting the vision and direction for the engineering teams
Lead the engineering teams to design, develop and implement cutting-edge solutions in power electronics VED products.
Oversee the progress and timeliness of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Provide strategic technical direction, mitigate risks and drive successful project outcomes by aligning engineering capabilities with long term business roadmaps.
Drive the development of new products and systems, from concept through to delivery.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., product management, operations, sales) to align engineering activities with business needs and goals.
Manage engineering budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure efficient staffing.
Drive technological innovation within the organization, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure that engineering solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
