About The Position

This role provides leadership and full authority and accountability for the strategic direction, technical integration, and organizational performance of the Plant Integration, Plant Support Systems, Physical Plant Integration, and Systems Engineering disciplines. The Director sets the vision, technical standards, and staffing strategy across these disciplines, ensuring that engineering systems, platforms, and applications are integrated to optimize plant-wide performance, streamline workflows, and maximize data flow and system efficiency across the organization. Initially, a main focus for this role will be to lead the establishment of ERP implementation readiness and architecture in partnership with senior leadership, enabling enterprise-wide integration capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical field required
  • Typically, fifteen or more years of progressive experience in systems integration, plant engineering, or a related technical field, including significant experience leading, supervising, or mentoring engineering staff across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading integration efforts across multiple engineering disciplines, such as plant integration, systems engineering, and plant support systems, in a highly regulated or complex technical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills necessary to translate complex technical integration strategy to executive leadership, regulators, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and set strategic direction for complex, cross-disciplinary programs with full authority and accountability, and to produce and approve detailed technical documentation.
  • Ability to meet export control requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and full accountability for the performance of the Plant Integration, Plant Support Systems, Physical Plant Integration, and Systems Engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and organizational strategy.
  • Set the strategic direction for integrating new hardware and software systems across disciplines, establishing enterprise-wide standards for interoperability, architecture, and design.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including development, product, and operations, to define enterprise integration requirements and approve tailored, organization-wide solutions.
  • Direct the analysis of existing systems across all five disciplines and approve integration strategies, improvements, or replacements that support long-term plant and business objectives.
  • Establish governance for technical documentation standards across integration procedures, architectures, and configurations, ensuring consistency and audit readiness across disciplines.
  • Oversee the development of integration processes, including data flows, system automation, and interface troubleshooting, ensuring seamless operation across the Plant Integration, Plant Support Systems, Physical Plant Integration, and Systems Engineering functions.
  • Approve integration testing and validation strategies to ensure interoperability across connected systems and applications enterprise-wide.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority and executive point of contact for integration matters, representing the disciplines to senior leadership, regulators, and external partners as needed.
  • Direct the monitoring and optimization of system performance across integrated platforms, ensuring compliance with nuclear quality, security, and regulatory requirements, including NRC readiness.
  • Manage staffing, hiring, and resource planning across the Plant Integration, Plant Support Systems, Physical Plant Integration, and Systems Engineering teams, and mentor and develop discipline leads and senior engineering staff.
  • Set annual and long-term budgets for the disciplines in conjunction with other leadership team members, and develop cost containment and resource optimization strategies.
  • Represent the integration disciplines in project gating and phase-gate reviews, providing recommendations on technical readiness, risk, and required mitigations.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
