About The Position

Interfor is seeking a dynamic, independent and forward‑thinking Director, Engineered Wood Products (EWP), Sales & Marketing to lead the strategy, growth, and operational excellence of our EWP sales program. In this key leadership role, you’ll partner closely with our I‑Joist manufacturing teams, logistics, and sales support to expand market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable, profitable growth. We’re looking for a leader with strong commercial instincts to take ownership of a strategic business unit—someone who combines relationship excellence with analytical rigor, and who thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.

Requirements

  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive sales experience in the North American EWP market.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Highly organized, detail‑driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Strong communicator—clear, proactive, and customer‑focused.
  • Technical understanding of Engineered Wood Products.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to executional excellence.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer and industry engagement.

  • Experience with LumberTrack is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute long‑term sales strategies to grow Interfor’s EWP portfolio.
  • Deliver on sales, margin, and finished‑goods inventory targets through close collaboration with customers and operations.
  • Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives that maximize both short‑term and long‑term growth.
  • Manage and expand key customer relationships; negotiate major supply agreements.
  • Represent Interfor professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements.
  • Ensure outstanding customer experience, resolving complex escalations with urgency and ownership.
  • Lead order management, pricing accuracy, and logistics coordination to ensure seamless delivery execution.
  • Maintain reliable processes for documenting sales activities, market intelligence, and customer interactions.
  • Oversee complaint and claims handling, driving timely, customer‑focused resolutions.
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications to develop impactful promotional strategies and sales materials.
  • Partner with operations, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure alignment between customer needs and production capabilities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on sales data, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
