About The Position

UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking a Director, Engineer, Advisory Investment Programs in Weehawken, NJ. This role involves applying a broad range of software engineering practices to analyze user needs, develop new features, and perform automated testing and deployment. The engineer will design, develop, and improve digital products and technology services for clients and employees, ensuring the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions. This includes designing and delivering robust code with clean code practices and test-driven development, building observability into solutions, monitoring production health, resolving incidents, and remediating root causes of risks and issues. Collaboration with the team for requirement refinement and code reviews is also a key part of the role. The position offers a hybrid work model (in-office/remote).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or as a Technology Lead, Technical Lead, IT Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Experience with OOP based UI frameworks including AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, and Bootstrap.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.

  • Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Design, plan, and deliver robust and sustainable code following clean code practices and test-driven development.
  • Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
  • Collaborate to refine requirements and conduct code reviews to ensure that coding standards are adhered to.
