The EHS Director is responsible for the integration of environmental health & safety services into the business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements. The EHS Director oversees responsibilities of all OU/Regional business activities related to environmental health & safety services and has direct interaction with EHS Staff, Superintendents, Project Manager, Project Executive, Area Safety Director and Operating Unit EVP’s and General Managers. Larger projects may require an EHS Director full time.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a role assigned to the identification of safety hazards and recommending appropriate controls
  • 10+ years of experience in a safety role that required communication with employees at all levels in a construction environment
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • 2+ years of experience managing direct reports
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, safety management, engineering, or equivalent or 10 years of safety experience

Responsibilities

  • Integration of environmental health & safety services into business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing responsibilities of all OU/Regional business activities related to environmental health & safety services.
