About The Position

Secretariat is a global consulting firm that provides expertise in legal, risk, and regulatory matters. The Economics team advises clients on complex business, legal, and regulatory issues requiring economic analysis. This includes evaluating competitive effects of mergers, estimating lost profits or damages in disputes, assessing fair compensation, and analyzing the impact of market rules. The work often supports high-stakes litigation, regulatory investigations, and business disputes, demanding strong judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to communicate complex economic evidence effectively.

Requirements

Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or Public Policy (e.g., MBA, MA, MS, PhD preferred).
6 - 10 years of experience at a consulting firm, law firm, regulatory agency, or corporate advisory role.
Proven experience working on high-profile intellectual property matters, antitrust matters or economic analysis in merger and conduct cases.
Strong project management and client-facing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to non-experts
Authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship in the future

Responsibilities

Lead one to three cases at a time
Manage teams of Associates
Organize case research and data analysis
Work closely with economists on a regular basis
Work with complex databases and raw client data in Stata, R, Databricks and other programs
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel and ArcGIS for graphical and statistical analysis
Analyze industry participants and characteristics affecting market competition
Calculate cost and damages estimates
Consult with clients and private sources to obtain necessary data
Investigate industries and companies using online and government resources
Review litigation and case documents
Mentor junior members of the team and contribute to the growth and development of the IP team
