About The Position

The Director, Distribution Center Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for all distribution center functions, including receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and product distribution. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations that support organizational goals and service excellence. The Director provides leadership for managers and distribution center staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, advancing workplace safety programs, and driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives across the distribution center.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strategic leadership and team development skills.
  • Distribution center, warehousing, and inventory management expertise.
  • Regulatory compliance, accreditation, and workplace safety knowledge.
  • Experience with Workday ERP, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred
  • Health care experience preferred in Warehouse, Receiving, Distribution and Purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all distribution center functions, including receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution services.
  • Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to achieve service, quality, safety, and financial performance goals.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, safety, environmental, and infection prevention requirements.
  • Oversee workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and succession planning.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory investments, and resource allocation to optimize operational and financial performance.
  • Oversee Workday ERP to support distribution center operations, inventory accuracy, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient product flow and customer service throughout the organization.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers.
  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the patient treated.
