Otis Elevator Company is searching for a seasoned and motivated Director, Digital Product Management to drive the innovation, evolution, and growth of its portfolio of digital products. An ideal candidate will be someone who has led and managed the entire digital / software lifecycle of B2B software products - from inception to EOL - a few times. As Director of Digital Product Management, you will be required to define and execute the vision and strategy for Otis’ portfolio of Elevator Management products, ensuring our products meet customer needs, stand out in the market, and drive significant business growth. You will work collaboratively with a cross functional team of experts to drive innovation, be hands-on with core product management activities, while also working with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and growth of digital (software) products. You will define, align on, and own the success of your product portfolio. On a typical day you will: Strategic Vision & Road mapping: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with customer needs and the company's goals. Oversee the creation and communication of strategic roadmaps to all stakeholders, balancing short-term goals and long-term innovation. P&L awareness is a must. Market Analysis & User Research: Collaborate with Otis teams to conduct market research and competitive analysis, leveraging customer feedback and data insights to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth in Otis products. Product Execution & Delivery: Collaborate with design, development, and project management teams to drive the product development lifecycle, from ideation to product definition, design & tech reviews, to release planning, documentation and post-launch analysis, ensuring products comply with quality and regulatory standards. Must be capable of hands-on lifecycle management. We follow agile (SCRUM) methods in spirit, not just in name. Go-To-Market: Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations teams to bring new digital products and features to market in multiple Otis regions globally. Activities include collaboration for defining the marketing strategies, sales enablement, harmonized pricing, and more. Product Growth: Own the strategy, metrics, and execution for product adoption and growth globally. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams, as required, to meet product growth goals. Performance Analysis: Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary interface for customers and external partners, and communicate product strategy, progress, and performance reports to executive leadership. Ownership: Define and own the success of your portfolio of digital products.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years in product management, specializing in B2B enterprise tech products.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Skilled in leading through influence, building relationships, and managing conflict.
  • Strong analytical skills for strategic thinking and aligning product initiatives with business goals.
  • Solid grasp of software development processes and tech stack for effective communication with engineers.
  • Keen eye for user experience design to enhance user adoption.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in product management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Product Board, etc.
  • Experienced with PowerPoint for effective presentations.
  • Must be available for frequent travel to the New York area, with 10% travel quarterly.
  • Given the nature of the position, applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.

  • The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $212,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
