Holman is currently accepting applications for the role of Director- Digital Platform Engineering.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with .NET and .NET Core (through .NET 8/9) for backend service development, including deep knowledge of C#.
  • Proven track record building scalable front-end applications with React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture and state management (Redux/Context API).
  • Expertise in Azure cloud services, including App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, and Azure Storage.
  • Strong understanding of Azure security, including Entra ID identity management, access control, and data protection.
  • Experience with modern development practices, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with SQL Server and Cosmos DB, optimizing data storage and retrieval in cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful services and API design, including performance, security, and versioning best practices.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing Azure applications for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Experience integrating LLM-powered features into production apps using Azure OpenAI, including prompt engineering and RAG pipelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Engineering, including 5+ at a leadership level.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives.

  • Proven leadership in building and scaling cross-functional engineering teams, driving a collaborative, high-accountability development culture.
  • Ability to create and communicate a clear platform engineering vision, translating business objectives into a multi-year technical roadmap.
  • Skilled in evaluating emerging technologies, including AI/ML tooling, and integrating them into platform strategy to drive innovation.
  • Ability to lead design and development of cloud-native, distributed applications following event-driven and microservices best practices.
  • Champion of AI-assisted engineering practices, including GitHub Copilot adoption, to improve developer velocity and code quality.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles — governance, guardrails, and data privacy — when deploying AI features to production.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing transformation projects and teams.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
