The Radiology Support Unit provides essential administrative, technical, and patient support services that help ensure the efficient operation of diagnostic imaging departments. Team members serve as a vital link between patients, providers, technologists, and clinical departments, helping coordinate imaging services while delivering exceptional customer service and support throughout the patient's care experience. The Director of Diagnostic Imaging will be responsible for the development, organization, and ongoing management of diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities that include planning, implementing, evaluating quality of care and management, development and motivation of personnel. Assists in the development and implementation of imaging standards of practice, policies and procedures, standards of patient care, and metrics to measure, assess, and improve patient care consistent with research, evidence-based practices, and nationally recognized professional standards. Prepares and submits budget and is responsible for maintaining adherence to the budget. Coordinates and/or participate in multidisciplinary teams involving internal and external members. Responsible for appropriate delegation and supervision of the duties of the diagnostic imaging staff. Monitors departmental operations to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and meet standards established by accrediting agencies.
