About The Position

The Director of Development (CFRE) serves as a strategic leader responsible for designing, executing, and scaling a comprehensive fundraising strategy to advance the mission and long-term sustainability of Homage Senior Services. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the senior leadership team, this role drives revenue growth through diversified funding streams, including major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and donor engagement strategies. This position combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution, ensuring sustainable and measurable philanthropic growth, strong community and donor relationships, and a high-performing development function. The role promotes a culture of philanthropy across the organization and ensures alignment with community-centered and equitable fundraising practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7-10+ years of progressive fundraising experience
  • Proven success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate support
  • Experience working with executive leadership and boards
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising analytics

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year, data-informed fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Establish and track KPIs, including donor acquisition and stewardship, pipeline development, and revenue diversification and growth
  • Drive diversified revenue streams across individual giving, grants, corporate partnerships, and events
  • Utilize data analytics and benchmarking to optimize fundraising performance and ROI
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth donors (typically $5,000+)
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized engagement strategies
  • Build and advance sustainable donor pipelines to increase long-term giving and lifetime value
  • Partner with the CEO, executive leadership, and Board members on major gift strategy and relationship management.
  • Develop and expand corporate sponsorships and institutional funding through relationships
  • Oversee grant strategy in collaboration with the CEO and the leadership, including prospecting, application, and reporting
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
  • Lead, mentor, and support development staff across functions
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration between development, marketing, and program teams
  • Serve as liaison to Board of Directors
  • Support board engagement in fundraising strategy and capacity-building
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on fundraising performance, forecasts, and trends
  • Oversee donor-centric communications, including storytelling and campaign messaging
  • Strengthen donor stewardship, recognition, and engagement programs
  • Collaborate with marketing/communications to align brand, messaging, and fundraising initiatives
  • Ensure accurate gift processing, reporting, and donor data management
  • Oversee CRM systems and maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and accounting standards related to fundraising
  • Responsible for forecasting revenue, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies to meet target
