About The Position

This role is responsible for developing, directing, and administering a comprehensive development program for Lankenau Hospital. The Director will focus on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts, and will be responsible for developing the grateful patient experience program. This is a highly visible role where the individual will serve as the key development member for Riddle Hospital, working closely with the Senior Vice President, Executive Director(s), members of the Foundation Board, and other leadership and donor constituencies. The Director will represent Development to the Hospital’s internal and external constituencies and will develop and implement fundraising cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for annual and major prospects and donors.

Requirements

Five to ten years of development experience preferably with a health-care organization
Demonstrated success in major gift fund-raising.
Proven negotiation, influencing skills
Bachelor’s degree from recognized college or university required.

Nice To Haves

Management experience preferred.
Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate, motivate others, while directly handling the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gifts.
Develop, direct, and administer a comprehensive development program for the Hospital including developing the grateful patient experience program.
