About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, End-to-End Planning, the Director of Demand Planning will lead the digital transformation of our planning function, driving ERP (SAP) adoption and elevating organizational digital maturity. This strategic leader will oversee forecasting and demand management to improve accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring operational excellence and customer focus. The role is accountable for developing and maintaining accurate forecasts that support product availability and business performance, leveraging advanced tools such as SAP IBP and both statistical and collaborative methodologies. It plays a critical part in the S&OP process, aligning demand forecasts with supply strategies and providing Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply teams with clear visibility of future demand. We seek a visionary leader with deep expertise in demand planning, analytics, and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience change management and driving transformation.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Blue Yonder).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated agility and adaptability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP planning tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.

  • Bilingualism required: proficiency in French is necessary due to the nature of interactions with a predominantly French-speaking pan-Canadian clientele or partners. This language is used frequently in both written and oral communications. An advanced level is required.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and lead a comprehensive forecasting strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives, market dynamics, and long-term business plans.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, AI-driven models, and scenario planning to anticipate demand fluctuations, mitigate risk, and optimize decision-making across all horizons.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, customer behaviors, and macroeconomic indicators to anticipate demand shifts, proactively adjusting planning strategies to mitigate risk and capture growth opportunities
  • Influence executive stakeholders and integrate demand insights into strategic planning, financial forecasting, and commercial initiatives to drive enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Architect next-generation planning frameworks that enhance agility, resilience, and scalability, championing the adoption of advanced technologies such as SAP IBP and machine learning solutions.
  • Establish governance for critical KPIs (forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory health) and lead interventions to maximize profitability, working capital efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a thought leader and change agent for digital transformation, embedding best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing demand planning organization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement to deliver best-in-class results.
