About The Position

The Director, Data Management will lead the end-to-end data enablement process for the Paramount account, with primary responsibility for taxonomy governance, data quality, site-served reporting enablement, and the successful flow of campaign data into downstream reporting environments. The role is the central subject matter expert and escalation point across Communications Design, Growth Analytics, Data Management, Ad Operations, and other cross-functional teams, while managing and developing supporting Data Operations resources. The position owns operational processes from taxonomy development through clean, reporting-ready campaign data. It leads taxonomy governance and quality assurance, oversees site-served data collection and quality control, resolves data-flow issues, and ensures downstream reporting requirements are translated into upstream campaign setup. The Director also develops staff, maintains standards and documentation, and drives process simplification, standardization, and automation. Omnicom policy requires employees to work in the office at least three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by the agency or manager.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in taxonomy strategy, governance, and standardized taxonomy practices supporting accurate and efficient data collection and reporting.
  • Expert knowledge of data quality assurance, issue resolution, and campaign data reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of agency campaign workflows from planning and activation through trafficking, reporting, and optimization.
  • Experience working with ad servers such as CM360 and understanding how taxonomy and site-served data map to downstream reporting environments.
  • Experience with media planning and buying systems such as Prisma and related campaign-management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of site-served reporting requirements, data templates, and partner data collection.
  • Ability to translate complex reporting requirements into clear operational processes and rules.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex data-flow issues across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage and develop junior and nearshore/offshore resources.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the broader campaign and business context.

Responsibilities

  • Lead taxonomy strategy and governance conversations with key stakeholders to support accurate, consistent media reporting.
  • Partner with client and agency Analytics teams to understand reporting and dashboard requirements and translate them into upstream campaign setup requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for taxonomy, data quality, and reporting-enablement projects and processes.
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve roadblocks related to taxonomy, data mapping, ingestion, and reporting readiness.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations on data operations processes and taxonomy requirements.
  • Facilitate data-related workstreams through regular status meetings and working sessions, and ensure timely completion of scheduled and ad hoc deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate processes while maintaining data quality.
  • Own the operational process from taxonomy development through clean, reporting-ready campaign data.
  • Establish and maintain taxonomy governance, including standardized interpretations of fields requiring strategic or campaign-specific judgment.
  • Ensure campaigns comply with data-quality standards.
  • Oversee site-served data collection and quality control, ensuring data meets template, naming, mapping, and formatting requirements for downstream ingestion and reconciliation with CM360 data.
  • Escalate and resolve complex taxonomy, mapping, ingestion, and data-quality issues.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies across planned, ad-served, site-served, and downstream reporting data with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and train supporting Data Operations resources, including nearshore and offshore team members.
  • Establish handoffs and escalation paths between Data Operations, Communications Design, Analytics, Data Management, and Ad Operations.
  • Create and maintain data-related standards, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Identify recurring failure points and develop solutions addressing root causes rather than resolving issues campaign by campaign.
  • Drive adoption of automation and exception-based quality assurance where possible.
  • Ensure new or evolving downstream reporting requirements are understood and operationalized upstream before campaign activation.
