About The Position

The Director, Data Management and Analytics will contribute to the development of the company’s data strategy and analytics roadmap. This role involves leading the development and implementation of techniques and applications to transform raw data using data-oriented programming languages. The position also contributes to the development and adoption of Salesforce to enhance cross-functional collaboration and align team strategies. The Director will lead the Data Analytics team, critically evaluate and collect data from multiple sources, and develop and maintain the organizational data model. Responsibilities include providing user support and training, translating business needs into data model designs using Microsoft Power BI, designing and deploying ETL workflows, supporting the enterprise BI environment, conducting data analysis to inform research questions and KPIs, and preparing and presenting key findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology and Management, Computer Science or closely related field.
  • 2 years of experience in business analytics.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to development of company’s data strategy and analytics roadmap.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into using data-oriented programming languages.
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of Salesforce to enhance cross-functional collaboration, aligning team strategies to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead Data analytics team.
  • Critically evaluate and collect data from multiple sources (publicly available, subscription and self-reported data) published in multiple formats (e.g. flat files, database tables) related to our organizational data model.
  • Develop and maintain the organizational data model by creating processes to import, normalize, transform, and validate data; and by building and managing database components such as tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions, joins, and unions, while documenting procedures to ensure consistent protocols and controls.
  • Provide references for users by designing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users on the data model.
  • Investigate, understand and translate business needs into the design and development of an organizational (Microsoft Power BI) data model.
  • Design develop and deploy ETL workflows to perform data acquisition from various complex data sources.
  • Support enterprise BI environment including code migrations, bug fixes and help business users to resolve any issues in the script, data model or connections.
  • Conduct data analysis to inform research questions or KPIs and make inferences about how those findings might impact the success of our initiatives and organizational strategy.
  • Prepare and present key findings and trends to internal and external stakeholders by developing reports, templates, and other communication materials that summarize information using data visualizations such as graphs, tables, and maps, and deliver insights through presentations, webinars, workshops, or similar formats.
