Requirements

• Proven experience with large-scale ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).
• Hands-on proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong coding skills in Python/Scala/Java and RESTful API development for data integration.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native data solutions (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow).
• Track record of leading cross-functional teams in regulated industries (e.g., financial services).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with real-time analytics (e.g., Apache Druid, ClickHouse) or MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
• Familiarity with data cataloging (e.g., Alation, Collibra) and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-volume data ingestion frameworks (batch/streaming) using tools like Apache Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Embed CI/CD practices into data engineering workflows, leveraging tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD for automated deployment and testing.
• Lead migration to scalable cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), optimizing storage (e.g., S3, ADLS) and compute (e.g., Kubernetes, EMR).
• Establish self-service data ingestion patterns, APIs, and SDKs to empower analytics and ML teams.
• Tune ingestion pipelines for latency, throughput, and cost efficiency, using monitoring tools like Prometheus or Datadog.
• Implement data validation, encryption, and access controls (e.g., RBAC, IAM) to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to align technical solutions with RBC’s strategic goals.
