About The Position

The Director-Testing Services is responsible for administering, developing, and overseeing the testing systems services for the School of Medicine. Oversees and administers support to faculty and students on the use of audience response systems (Turning Point and PowerPoint products). Develops and maintains in-house Medical Education Test Scores database. Provides metrics, analytics and data support for the Associate Dean. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree required.
• Minimum five years' relevant experience required.
• Understanding of how software systems transform data into usable reports and user interfaces.
• Understanding of how interfaces extract data from various sources.
• Familiarity with data normalization, data quality standards, and education accreditation standards.
• Complete understanding of information flow between systems and connecting learning, curriculum, and assessment systems.
• Knowledge of specific vendor software systems related to curriculum, learning, and assessment management is necessary.
• Understanding advanced statistical models and their application to direct and indirect assessment data.
• Understanding database systems and analyzing data using statistical software are essential.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Problem-solving abilities during critical system statuses.
• Candidate should have color distinction, sufficient hearing and sight for communication and workplace tasks, and the ability to read computer screens and written documents efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in education, psychology, or a closely related field preferred.
• Strong quantitative experience preferred.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages, such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, or R.
• Programming skills in VBA, SQL, and R are preferred.
• Database administration, information systems or equivalent certification preferred.
