About The Position

We are seeking a Director, Crushing & Screening Solutions to join our Market Area North and Central America team. You will be responsible for leading and empowering a national team of highly experienced technical sales professionals to deliver value-based technical solutions for customers across Canada, which involves process reviews, crusher liner optimization, and equipment upgrades. Your role plays a crucial part in delivering technical excellence, customer value, and sustainable growth, which will positively impact customer performance, reliability, and total cost of ownership throughout the lifecycle of their operations. This position is mainly located in Montreal, QC, and we are happy to offer hybrid working arrangements. However, it involves up to 50% travel within Canada. You will join a team of highly experienced technical sales and applications professionals dedicated to delivering value-based Crushing and Screening Solutions that improve customer uptime, reliability, and lifecycle value. We are currently working on process reviews and circuit assessments, crusher liner selection and optimization, equipment upgrades/retrofits and life-extension solutions, and screening system and media optimization. We work closely with internal stakeholders such as sales, services, finance, supply chain, engineering, and product management teams, as well as external stakeholders including key and strategic customers. Requirements

  • Significant experience in mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial equipment environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Crushing and Screening solutions, including process optimization and liner performance.
  • Proven people leadership experience managing technical sales and/or application-focused teams.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into clear customer and commercial value (value-based selling).
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills; effective in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Operational discipline and execution focus, with a strong commitment to safety, integrity, and accountability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a national team of Technical Sales Representatives supporting Metso’s Crushing and Screening Solutions.
  • Build a high-performance, safety-focused, customer-centric culture aligned with Metso values; support talent development and succession planning.
  • Ensure effective territory coverage, workload prioritization, and technical capability across the team.
  • Guide delivery of advanced technical and application-driven solutions (process/circuit reviews, liner optimization, upgrades/retrofits, screening/media optimization).
  • Ensure solutions are data-driven, value-focused, and aligned with customer production, uptime, reliability, and total cost of ownership objectives.
  • Drive profitable business growth across Canada, supporting forecasting, budgeting, margin performance, pricing strategy, and key negotiations.
  • Provide senior technical and commercial support for complex opportunities and customer engagements.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for strategic customers and partner effectively across a global matrix organization.
