JOB SUMMARY The position is a key member of the FP&A team reporting to the CFO and responsible for planning, forecasting and analyzing performance and developing strategies for Operational leaders with a focus on the acquired operating entities across the Commercial and Industrial and Light Commercial divisions. The primary focus will be supporting both Service and Installation business analytics, budgeting and forecasting. The field finance manager will work to harmonize the P&L structure across the acquired entities and provide monthly reporting of KPIs and Score Cards for distribution to management across these operating entities.

Requirements

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field and 7+ years of experience providing and supporting forecasting and financial modeling.
  • A CPA certification and/or a MBA in a related field highly preferred.
  • Experience in Field Service, Construction, or highly transactional businesses a plus.
  • Experience in an analytical and project support role.
  • Ability to execute strategies for improvement and day-to-day support of efficient operations.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate complex operations data, distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative methodologies.
  • Understanding of problem solving and knowledge of root cause analysis tools.
  • Proven conflict resolution and influence skills, with strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to effectively coach, mentor and train others to meet performance expectations as described above.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • He/she must possess and demonstrate strong analytical acumen, teamwork, relationship building, project/program lead skills.

Responsibilities

  • Translates division strategy into specific roadmaps, key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for measuring on-going progress.
  • Produces reporting and data analysis for key stakeholders to identify findings, recommendations, and opportunities for improvement. Supports financial audit requests with historical data and reporting.
  • Forecasts and supports cashflow reporting enterprise-wide. Coordinates capital budgeting and consolidating Corporate SG&A budgeting and forecasting.
  • Partners with Finance and Leadership at acquired entities to ensure forecasting and budget are aligned with objectives and reported in a way consistent with overall practice. Helps local Finance personnel develop operational metrics and reports that speak to and address Divisional and overall company KPI and Scorecard needs.
  • Manages a variety of special projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Field FP&A personnel.
  • Leads change management efforts using root-cause analysis, Business Intelligence dashboards, and other analytic tools in the development of advance modeling tools and techniques.
  • Acts as an internal consultant across company lines in support of re-engineering, redesigning and upgrading the capabilities of legacy operating systems, processes, and tools.
  • Assesses and provides feedback to Finance leadership on the strength and capabilities of Field leaders, Finance personnel, and key individuals making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
