Created in 1993, LAHSA is a joint powers authority of the city and county of Los Angeles. As the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care (CoC), we coordinate and manage federal, state, county, and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness. The Director of CoC oversees the implementation, improvement, community engagement, and further partnerships as they pertain to these specific responsibilities of the CoC. This department coordinates and leads strategic community planning, resource collaboration, and program alignment for the Adult, Family, Youth, and Domestic Violence survivor Coordinated Entry Systems (CES). The department drives policy development and processes for the Los Angeles CoC and the LA CES. The Director provides system guidance, strategic oversight of system vision, and management of processes to align homeless funding priorities and initiatives with community needs and LAHSA’s mission, vision, values by guiding planning and advising on strategies and leading refinement efforts.
