About The Position

LIV Golf is seeking a strategic and operationally strong Director of Content (New York) to lead content planning, execution, and performance optimization across North American markets while operating as a key counterpart to the London-based Director of Content. This role will serve as a central connector across League departments, teams, platforms, and partners — ensuring cohesive storytelling, calendar visibility, best-practice adoption, and measurable content impact. The Director will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, driving alignment between global content priorities and regional market opportunities.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in sports, media, entertainment, or digital publishing environments.
  • Proven success leading multi-platform content strategy and execution at scale.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience operating in global or matrixed organizations.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, video ecosystems, and content monetization models.
  • Experience leveraging analytics platforms to drive decision-making and demonstrate commercial impact.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel and support on-site event operations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with London counterpart to develop and operationalize global content strategy across League, teams, and platforms.
  • Maintain two-way visibility on publishing calendars, ensuring alignment between League initiatives and team storytelling.
  • Drive strategic planning for seasonal, campaign, and event-based content moments.
  • Identify cultural trends, emerging formats, and platform opportunities to inform proactive content initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent amplification of player, team, and League storylines across owned and operated channels.
  • Oversee centralized content calendar visibility through platforms such as Monday.com to enable cross-functional coordination.
  • Establish and maintain standardized workflows for content requests, announcements, and campaign rollouts.
  • Lead communication rhythms including town halls, planning forums, and cross-department syncs to maintain transparency.
  • Serve as a primary liaison across Marketing, Broadcast, Partnerships, Ticketing, Legal, Operations, Retail, and Communications.
  • Ensure coordinated messaging and timing across key moments including player signings, ticket releases, partnership announcements, and breaking news.
  • Partner with internal marketing and social teams to align amplification strategy and creative execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with platform partners including YouTube and other social and digital channels to stay ahead of best practices and product evolution.
  • Act as conduit between teams and platforms to share insights, feedback, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support development of team-specific channel strategies, including YouTube growth and long-form storytelling initiatives.
  • Establish regular benchmarking cadence comparing LIV Golf performance against leading sports properties.
  • Drive analytics adoption across teams utilizing tools such as Blinkfire and Emplifi.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations for optimization, monetization, and partner value delivery.
  • Develop standardized reporting frameworks to communicate media value and ROI for partners.
  • Create and maintain best practice documentation across content creation, publishing, paid partnerships, and branded content compliance.
  • Lead knowledge sharing initiatives including benchmarking reports and cross-industry learning exchanges.
  • Build and manage centralized creator and influencer ecosystem documentation to support coordinated engagement.
  • Provide on-site event leadership ensuring real-time coordination, issue resolution, and storytelling alignment.
  • Proactively communicate League storyline priorities and campaign narratives to teams and stakeholders.
  • Support rollout of sponsorable content strands and integrated paid strategies across campaigns.
