Under administrative direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of the resource allocations of construction resources to specific projects; ensures that personnel assigned to projects have the appropriate skills and training required for the assignment; ensures that policies, procedures and guidelines related to construction management tasks are up to date, are appropriate for the needs of the project and that staff is knowledgeable of the policies and procedures required for each assignment; secures Construction Management Consultant (CMC) services as necessary to ensure the quality of the work, conformance to budget, schedule and documentation requirements, and compliance with applicable codes, standards and contract documents; ensures that the general and special conditions and the general requirements for each construction contract are current, consistent with Agency policies, and appropriate for the specific work under each contract; and provides expert reviews and input on construction issues including constructability, biddability, risk assessment, claims, and other relevant areas of construction management; coordinates assigned activities with other programs, divisions, departments/offices, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support.
