Director, Connectivity Partnerships

Engine
$200,000 - $250,000Hybrid

About The Position

Engine is looking for a Director, Connectivity Partnerships to build the partnerships and connectivity that expand what supply we can offer and how seamlessly customers can book it. The primary focus of this role is group travel — one of the largest and most underserved opportunities in business travel — where Engine is building the technology and partnerships to make booking a group as simple as booking a single room. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, product, and connectivity, and owns group travel end to end on the supply side. You will shape how we build across the group booking lifecycle and lead the partner discussions that bring that strategy to life with hotel chains, travel partners, and platforms across the ecosystem. Groups is a large, standalone opportunity, and this role is built for someone to own it at depth, with room to grow as Engine's connectivity surfaces expand. You will operate as a senior leader working closely with executives and across Supply, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Partnerships. This is a builder's role: you will turn an ambitious vision for group travel into a clear strategy, a prioritized connectivity roadmap, and a set of signed, activated partnerships that expand what Engine can offer customers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience spanning product, connectivity, and partnerships in travel, hospitality, travel technology, marketplaces, or platform businesses
  • Strong working knowledge of travel connectivity — how bookings move across partners, platforms, and systems — with the ability to set strategy and pressure-test feasibility without owning the build
  • A track record of structuring and closing complex partnerships that balance near-term wins with long-term trust and leverage
  • Product intuition: the ability to translate a strategic vision into requirements a product and engineering team can build against
  • Strategic judgment — the ability to frame positioning and sequencing tradeoffs, and to say not yet to attractive but unscalable opportunities
  • Experience engaging large, sophisticated partners (hotel groups, technology platforms, or ecosystem players) at a senior level, with the ability to interact with both commercial and product leadership at strategic partners
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally through influence in matrixed, fast-scaling organizations
  • Executive presence, clear communication, and sound decision-making under ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Own Engine's group connectivity strategy — defining how group bookings move across partners and platforms, and where we build first to unlock supply
  • Set the strategy for deeper group connectivity, translating a north-star vision into a prioritized, buildable roadmap across the group booking lifecycle
  • Lead the supply and connectivity partnerships that power group travel — with hotel chains, connectivity providers, technology platforms, and intermediaries — from first conversation through signed, activated agreements
  • Contribute to Engine's broader connectivity strategy — bringing a partnerships and technical perspective to how supply connects across the platform, in close partnership with Supply and Lodging leadership
  • Build relationships with connectivity providers and technology partners that support our group travel platform and Engine's wider supply surfaces
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape group connectivity capabilities and integrations, informing the roadmap from a strategy and partnership lens
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on the group travel landscape, connectivity models, and the technology that moves group bookings across the ecosystem
  • Establish how Engine sequences and prioritizes group connectivity investments against finite engineering capacity and clear commercial outcomes
  • Serve as a senior external representative of Engine in complex, multi-stakeholder group and connectivity partnerships
  • Monitor industry trends across group travel, meetings, distribution, and connectivity to inform prioritization and execution
