About The Position

Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the Service Area functional responsibilities. Enable regional level strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues; provide functional expertise and ensure fulfillment of performance and service standards. Responsible for consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals. Identifies, defines & solves complex problems that impact the management & direction of the business; Collaborate with System Services Area, Regions and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations. Maintaining awareness of new industry developments and standards. Provides decision support, operations &/or optimization leadership focus. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices. In conjunction with the VP Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for the development, implementation, deployment and governance of the Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Programs, policies/procedures, and initiatives in accordance with applicable regulatory and policy requirements within assigned region of the service area. Responsible for the development and implementation of work plans (e.g., risk assessment, resource allocation, scheduling) and reporting tools / processes for identified risks, compliance activities, and accomplishments. Responsible for the development, dissemination, and delivery of communication, education, and training for ministries within assigned region of the service area. Provide advice and guidance to ensure appropriate compliance committees are operating in accordance with applicable regulatory and policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree in business, health administration, or a related field, a law degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility in health care compliance and/or consulting including regulatory compliance, program metrics, performance assessment, and reporting outcomes, etc.
  • Possess and maintain licensure or certification in compliance, law, audit, privacy, healthcare, or other relevant field or area of study.
  • At least 3 years previous supervisory/leadership experience.

  • Experience managing government audits, inquiries, investigations, response, and mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to RHM and Region leaders in developing strategies and in the achievement of performance goals.
  • Enable Collaboration across and within System Services area, RHM, and Regions to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations
  • Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to System Services functional area, RHM, and Regions.
  • Leading standardization/systemness and optimization of policy, process, methodology, establishing a national community of practice
  • Oversee Vendor/Contract Labor Management including centralizing strategy and optimizing spend
  • Collaborates in system-wide strategy development and deployment of functional area priorities and initiatives
  • Responsible for supporting regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities
  • Accountable for the selection, evaluation, and overall success of the functional leadership teams
  • Organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies and governance over financials and staffing
  • Accountable for communication between System Services functional area, RHM, and Regions leader
  • Responsible for measuring and reporting KPIs/metrics and value delivery
  • Providing advice, guidance, and leadership for the colleague life cycle
