About The Position

Our multi-brand and omni-channel approach include our own insurance carrier, insurance brands and partner brands. Doubtless is seeking a Director, Compensation who will report to the Sr. Director, Total Rewards at Doubtless North America. This will be a key role in helping the business grow the compensation practice, working day to day compensation operations, incentive plan administration and deliver best in class market pricing in a compensation consulting environment. This role will manage a small team and with hands on support for the team lead two client groups and day to day operations for compensation and other initiatives out of the Total Rewards function serving as a key business partner to support the growing business units. The role requires being well-versed and experienced in all compensation elements with strengths in strategic partnership with cross functional groups, business case development for change, and a holistic approach and strategic alignment to the Total Rewards philosophy with our mission at Doubtless. In addition the preferred candidate will have experience in a global environment . The Director, Compensation must be an agile strategic thought partner interacting with the HR Leadership team and other internal departments, demonstrating expertise, professionalism, dedication, and empathy. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Compensation Design, Job Leveling, or Sales Incentive Compensation Design (CCP is a plus)
  • Experience in implementing, documenting, refining Total Rewards policies and documentation
  • Workday experience in advanced compensation is required.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
  • Can manage both strategic and hands on day to day operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Masters Degree.
  • Experience in a global environment.
  • Experience with financial, technology or insurance types of benchmarking jobs.

Responsibilities

  • A highly skilled individual contributor with expertise in Sales Compensation Strategy, executive compensation and strategic compensation practices. Preferable if having worked with financial, technology or insurance types of benchmarking jobs.
  • The ideal candidate is curious with strong business acumen, a relationship builder with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and an analytical thinker that dives deep into problem solving.
  • The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, have excellent written and verbal communication, are detail-oriented and are comfortable working with numerous stakeholders in an environment with considerable ambiguity.
  • This strategic role should have 10+ years’ experience in Compensation Plan Administration, Job Leveling and Market Pricing including offer design.
  • Ideal candidate will need to work on day to day offers, executive offers and day to day comp operations in a comp consulting environment with multiple business units.
  • Assist in benchmarking and determining the best way to set up the sales and bonus structures for the customer service teams, insurance processors and other incentive eligible roles.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to a client group assigned supporting client group through offers and job leveling as necessary and providing a sounding board for total rewards advice.
  • Propose and present ideas effectively, in writing and verbally to influence decisions, senior decision makers, and outcomes within tight timelines.
  • Manage a team and support the team in their compensation growth.
  • Assist in supporting executive compensation and survey submissions.
