About The Position

The Director, Corporate Communications acts as a strategic partner to senior management to develop, protect, and promote the organization's image, culture, and reputation. This person designs and implements integrated communication strategies that enhance employee engagement, support business priorities, and effectively accompany organizational transformations. The role covers employer value proposition (EVP), employer and corporate branding, internal and external communications, press relations, executive communications, corporate events, communication platforms, and change management communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate, internal, external, or change communications.
  • Significant experience in leadership, project management, executive communications, public relations, and brand management.
  • Experience in developing employer branding, employee engagement, and change management strategies.
  • Ability to manage complex, sensitive, or high-visibility issues, including crisis or transformation situations.
  • Excellent strategic vision, business acumen, and ability to influence leaders.
  • Excellent writing, corporate storytelling, collaboration, and stakeholder mobilization skills.
  • Creativity, client orientation, innovation, and operational rigor.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated internal, external, and change communications strategy aligned with the vision, business priorities, and growth objectives.
  • Advise senior management on communication, reputation, engagement, and transformation adoption issues.
  • Ensure consistency of messages, corporate voice, and company positioning across key channels and initiatives.
  • Define performance indicators and measure the impact of communication initiatives.
  • Develop, evolve, and promote the employer value proposition (EVP) to enhance talent attraction, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to align employee experience, organizational culture, employer brand, and messages related to employee-impacting changes.
  • Highlight initiatives, programs, and stories that reflect the company's culture, values, and achievements.
  • Design and deploy strategies that strengthen mobilization, understanding of organizational priorities, and sense of belonging.
  • Oversee employee communications, including corporate announcements, HR initiatives, strategic projects, and change campaigns.
  • Translate organizational transformations into clear, consistent, and mobilizing messages tailored to different internal audiences.
  • Direct the planning of company meetings, executive communications, and employee feedback mechanisms.
  • Promote corporate recognition programs and campaigns that celebrate individual and collective successes.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to strengthen the employee experience, recognition culture, and adoption of organizational changes.
  • Develop and implement public relations and external communications strategies.
  • Oversee the drafting and dissemination of press releases and corporate announcements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with media and external partners when required.
  • Manage reputation issues, crisis communications, and external communications related to major changes.
  • Ensure strategic monitoring of market trends, competitor activities, and brand perception.
  • Evolve and protect the corporate brand identity, essence, and consistent use.
  • Oversee the corporate website, its content, and its alignment with the brand strategy, business objectives, and transformation messages.
  • Collaborate on the digital strategy and the company's presence on social and digital platforms.
  • Direct the planning and execution of major corporate events, including leadership conferences, manager meetings, mobilization events, and corporate celebrations.
  • Use these events as levers for mobilization, strategic alignment, and change support.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to maximize event visibility and impact.
  • Lead, mobilize, and develop the communications team and external partners.
  • Establish high standards for editorial quality, creativity, rigor, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in support of the organization's change priorities.
