About The Position

At Praxis, forecasting is a strategic capability that drives critical business decisions and helps accelerate the delivery of life-changing medicines to patients. The Director of Forecasting will lead all commercial forecasting activities across the portfolio, partnering closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Legal, Commercial, and Executive Leadership to provide clear, data-driven insights that inform strategy, resource allocation, and long-term business planning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences forecasting, commercial analytics, strategic planning, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical expertise, including patient-based forecasting, scenario planning, and market modeling, with a proven track record supporting specialty, rare disease, or other complex therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated success leading forecasting activities for one or more pharmaceutical product launches, including pre-launch planning, launch readiness, and post-launch performance assessment.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, market access, patient flow dynamics, epidemiology, and healthcare data sources.
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and shape strategic decisions by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business impact across all levels of the organization.
  • Thrives in ambiguity, adapting quickly to new information while maintaining focus, momentum, and accountability for delivering results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, or a related field required

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand and revenue forecast across the Praxis’ portfolio including pipeline and launch products
  • Lead cross functional alignment on forecast inputs and assumptions across commercial, finance, manufacturing, and legal teams.
  • Develop analyses and sensitivity models to quantify risks and opportunities across a portfolio of near-term launches, supporting go-to-market and investment decisions.
  • Integrate various data sources to track early launch performance, identify trends and variances against forecast, and deliver clear actionable insights to senior and executive leadership
  • Serve as the primary forecasting resource across the organization, managing multiple concurrent forecast cycles, deliverables, and ad hoc requests in a fast-paced launch environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy and insight generation through advanced analytics, automation or emerging tools
